Who This Is For

This training is for people who feel called to bring others together and create meaningful group experiences. It’s a great fit if you are:

  • You’re curious about drum circles or facilitation but don’t see yourself as a “musician”

  • A teacher, caregiver, therapist, coach, or community leader

  • A musician who wants to focus more on people than performance

  • Someone who values inclusion, listening, and shared experience

  • Drawn to community-building, wellness, or creative spaces in schools, wellness spaces, families, or communities

No musical background is required—just a willingness to participate, reflect, and show up as yourself.

By the end of the program, participants will:

  • Understand what drum circle facilitation actually is

  • Feel confident stepping into a simple facilitation role

  • Know how to create a safe, welcoming rhythm space

  • Experience themselves as someone who can guide a group

  • Ready for Level II training which goes beyond the basics

Community Drum Circles (included in your ticket):

Friday May 8 from 6:30pm to 7:30pm

Friday May 15 from 6:30pm to 7:30pm

Friday May 22 from 6:30pm to 7:30pm

We would love for you to experience facilitating in community on these 3 nights if you are available to attend. Inviting friends, family, and neighbors to these community drum circles is welcomed and encouraged. You will receive free passes for friends and family at the conclusion of your training.

Sound Sanctuary - Spring Sound Journey with Sarah Paz Hyde - May 3
from $36.40

Sarah Paz Hyde returns to Empowered Music at the height of Spring’s bloom, for a special Flower Full Moon sound sanctuary. Thawed from winter’s stillness, this month’s moon encourages us to lean into new beginnings by releasing old patterns. In creating more space, dreams can be built, and greater abundance cultivated through transformation.

Western scientific research now supports what Eastern ancients have sensed for decades, that sound soothes through vibrational medicine. While sound can alarm us, it can also:

  • Lower blood pressure, heart & respiratory rates

  • Activate the calming parasympathetic state

  • Decrease the fight or flight state

  • Provide a sense of deep relaxation & stress relief

  • Reduce pain & inflammation

You’re invited to travel to theta in a safe space, and return to a place where the Mind, Body & Spirit can foster better relations. This immersive sound meditation is infused by the melodic, shamanic qualities of the handpan, ngoni & frame drum; and is interwoven with vocalizations and an assortment of instruments. Inspired by the natural world – the 5 elements of Air, Wind, Water, Fire & Aether – we will oscillate between stillness and sound to travel through the peaks & valleys of the soul to access rest & release, and more deeply integrate balance & harmony within.

BIO

Sarah Paz Hyde’s MUSE-ical journey began at the age of 4, with the violin as her first form of expression. In 2016, Sarah discovered the handpan, and the hypnotic simplicity of it reawakened her in ways she did not know she needed, ultimately bringing her back to her voice, the violin, and an improvisational rabbit hole. Through musical play, conversation, integration & education she hopes to aid others in rediscovering their uniqueness.

Hyde is a classically trained, intuitive sound guide, Reclaim Life facilitator, visual artist & graphic designer. Sarah Paz is the Founder of the Super Bloom Collective, a handpan organization focused on calmUNITY building through handpan-infused experiences.
