Drum Studio is a semester-based group learning experience for adults and teens age 14+. Students develop good form, stick control, reading, understanding of rhythm, coordination, musicality, and confidence through guided study using practice pads, percussion, and collaborative music-making.
Recommended for adults and teens age 14 and up who want to improve their drumming in a supportive and motivating environment.

Progressing beginners who want a great foundation
Intermediate drummers who want to level up
Self-taught drummers with bad habits (This was me!)
Drummers who want an easy-to-understand method of reading musical notation, reading and writing charts, and understanding subdivision in a simple way
Any drummer who feels “stuck” in their knowledge, vocabulary, or physicality

16 weeks of 1-hour group learning sessions in-person at Empowered Music
Online resource library containing lesson recaps and practice materials
Online community to share progress and accountability

Sticks
Practice pad and stand (we have some to borrow)
