I was gifted my first guitar on my 14th birthday and joined my first garage band in 1991. That was over 30 years ago. Since then I have traveled, lived and studied all over North America as a session guitarist, both in-studio and live performance. I've taught in schools as a guest resident and privately in my own home in Harrisburg, PA and Albuquerque, NM.

My style of teaching is geared toward music theory and the art of improvisation. My goal in teaching you guitar is to give you the confidence to write and improvise in any situation; to understand the basic foundation and fundamentals of music theory; to express yourself with the language of music, say whatever you want to say with your guitar on any stage, any studio, and do it quickly.

For example:
What is Gm7b9 (add 7)?
Why is it called that? When could you play it?
What is a 2-5-1? What could you play over that?

I currently play in and around Harrisburg as a solo guitarist for corporate events, private parties and restaurants. I also frequent the local stage scene, and can be found on any given night sitting in with bands and solo acts.

My most recent past projects include:
*Guitar and percussion in The Greatest Funeral Ever (funk, jazz, and rock)
*Bass in Brave the Day (Country folk)
*Solo guitar (jazz, classical and bossa)
*Acoustic guitar in Gingertheory (instrumental violin and guitar duo)

In addition to guitar, my other musical interests are in Ableton live looping, midi programming and various percussion. I also enjoy restoring old vintage gear.
