Sadie Avakian is a dedicated piano instructor with a passion for all things related to music. Starting piano lessons at age 6, Sadie felt a natural gravitation to the piano and developed a lifelong joy for playing that she hopes to inspire in her students. Past her extensive years of studying classical performance and technique, Sadie also has experience in orchestral accompaniment and live performance. She believes that the language of music should be accessible to everyone, and aims to create a supportive environment for students to build a lasting curiosity and love for playing.

Sadie’s teaching methods are customized to each student’s individual learning style, and is open to teaching any skill level. Her lessons equip students with the skills of sight reading, technique, and theory. Past learning the fundamentals, she places a great focus on attentive listening to build a sense of musicality. Her goal is to foster critical thinking in students that will help them develop their own artistic voice and musical literacy.
